Just another beautiful sunset....

Just me and my dad.....

Just coloring......

Dad, I don't know if I like worms.....

Well, I guess I do like worms!

Knight in Shining Armor....

I always hoped that when I needed to be rescued by my Knight in Shining Armor that he would rescue me on a white horse, not a motorcycle, but I guess I will take what I can get. :) This is actually Myk's new motorcycle and he wanted me to show it off. Let's just all pray that he does not take a spill, but as you can see his outfit is pretty protective.

I GOT A NEW PLAY TOY!!!!!

I got my new Cuttlebug on Thursday afternoon....I waited all day long for the Fed Ex man to show up and everytime he drove by (three times to be exact) I was about ready to run down the street after him and FINALLY he found my house and dropped off my prized possession. We had an early supper on Thursday just so I could have all night to play with my new toy. I practiced and played and hey my cards are not the best, but they were my first cards and I am so excited! :)

HOORAY for my new vacuum...

Me: "Haylee, are you ready to go to Grandma's?"
Haylee: "Yep, but I gotta get my shoes on."
Me: "Okay, get them on, but put the Dora ones on that are all dirty."
LONG EPISODE OF SILENCE AND THEN.....
Haylee: "Mom, they were full of sand, so I dumped them out first."
Me: "And where did you dump that sand."
Haylee: "On the floor right here by the door."

UGH.....another duty for my day..... Gotta love kids!

I love the closeness, SOMETIMES!

I was just on my 15-minute break and had Morgan outside and taking her for our morning walk around the yard when I heard... "HI MOM!" I looked around and didn't see anyone, so thought I was hearing things and then I heard "What you doing outside, Mom?" I looked across the creek and here was my dad holding Haylee up high and Haylee was yelling at me across the creek. What a surprise! We held down a 5-minute conversation and this has made my day!

One of those days!

I woke up this morning at 5:25 (after a very long night of Haylee getting up six times between 11:45 and 4 a.m.) and was so excited because it was Friday. I got working at5:30 very chipper and excited, just to realize that it is only Thursday. Oh how I wish it was Friday and the weekend.

Late....

I'm late, I'm late for a very important date, no time to say hello; goodbye, I'M LATE, I'M LATE, I'M LATE....

Call us crazy!

Last night, Karen and I decided to walk to Fall Creek and around Fall Creek and then back home. When all was said and done I think we had about 4 to 5 miles in. Karen and I both realized we are not as young as we used to be and were feeling every muscle in bodies, especially the ones we have not used in a LONG time.

My Aunt Jo!

Lexi and I were here today after she got home from school just her and I. She was having an afternoon snack and I was working on making supper. We were talking about her woes at school with her friends and then she said,
Lexi: "Today, Mr. Tumm asked us to tell everyone one thing that we want to do this summer."
Me: "Really....and what do you want to do this summer.....camping, fishing, go to the beach?"
Lexi: "I told him all I want to do is go see my Aunt Jo." :(

Then she went on to explain to me how she had to explain to Mr. Tumm and the class who Aunt Jo was as Mr. Tumm is a personal friend of the family and he could not understand where "Aunt Jo" came in to our family. :)

This conversaion broke my heart as it made me realize that Jolene is an important part of Lexi's life and Lexi is realizing this and knowing what it feels to really badly miss someone. I told Lexi maybe that she could go for a few days this summer and visit Aunt Jo all by herself. She kind of liked that idea. :)

Morgan

I took Morgan to the vet yesterday. She offically weighed in at 14 pounds, 7 ounces and is a very healthy puppy. She got her puppy shots and in four weeks will have another set and then at six months will be ready for her rabies vaccination. We are in the dilemna if we want to spayed her or not. She is such a pretty dog and just one batch of puppies would be fun, but I don't know how myself or the kids would handle getting rid of them when the time came. We most likely would end up keeping at least one for ourselves, but then to get rid of the rest of them to total and complete strangers might be hard. Labs are also known for having large batches of puppies, so possibly 10 more mouths to feed could become quite expensive. We have all the time to think about this, but the vet had really suggested getting it done before she goes in to heat the first time. The things I have to worry about. LOL!
