There never seems to be enough time in the day and I know I am not speaking for just myself. The laundry piles up, the dishes get stacked up, the dishwasher never seems to get emptied, the floors never seem to get vaccumed enough, kids never seem clean enough, and supper sometimes consists of hot dogs and macaroni and cheese, but we all go on.
Well today while I have been working, I decided that I needed to get something done on my break, so I took my 15-minute break and went to the kitchen. I did one quick stare down of the place and decided in 15 minutes I was going to get a lot done. I started at the dishwasher and emptied that, then I filled it back up again with dirty dishes and realized I needed a few more dirty dishes so went and dumped out some old leftovers out of the fridge, put the dishwasher on to start its cleaning cycle, took out a bag of garbage, took out some recyclables, and then cleaned off one and a half counter tops. I did this all in just 15 minutes. I was running around like a chicken with its head cut off and no one dare get in my way, but I was on a mission and feel pretty darn good as I completed my first mission of today, Tuesday, November 25. Wish me luck as I have so many more missions to go today.

If I learned anything.....
If I learned anything this weekend it would have to be: watch out for the falling LARGE can of Bush's Baked Beans as when it hits the floor your toes are going to be under it and it HURTS LIKE HELL!

Maybe you can teach an old dog new tricks?
My mom was able to take a vacation a few weeks ago (thanks to her kids paying for their trip as their b-day and x-mas gifts) to Washington State to see her best friend from high school. They have always kept in contact through letters and email, but really I do not know the last time they actually saw each other and I don't think my mother has actually ever seen her place in Washington. Well while they were gone I started getting text messages from a number I did not know, but soon realized that it was my mom's best friend, Dianne, texting me. At that point I was impressed to know someone older was actually texting me. Well, when my mother got home she started asking lots of questions about texting and how hard it was and on and on and on. I never thought anything of it and last night my mother appeared at my door with a new cell phone and she wanted me to teach her how to text. She decided to get herself her own cell phone, so that she can text her best friend in Washington. Boy, let me tell you, you can teach an old dog new tricks, BUT it takes a LONG, LONG, LONG time.

How convenient!
And so I slaved over dinner tonight to make my die for spaghetti and meat sauce and we all ate until our tummies were full and had a pleasant conversation at supper.......after I was done I looked over to the sink seeing all the dishes that still needed to be done and that were calling someone's name to wash them. I slowly get up from the table walking towards the sink hoping SOMEONE, ANYONE would tell me to sit down and they would do dishes and all I hear, "I will be right back; I gotta go make some room in my stomach." Twenty minutes later all the dishes are done and STILL he is nowhere to be found. Is this a male/husband thing?
My funny for today.....
Haylee just informed me that I need to wash her blankie because "it doesn't smell clean anymore." I wash her blankie at least one a week....I think she likes the smell of the drier sheets, but to her that signifies it is "clean." LOL!!!!!
